While driving straight for a few miles the steering would 'stick' meaning I had to apply extreme force in order to turn the wheel, once it broke free it was back to normal but after I'd drive straight for a few miles I'd encounter the same issue. At any given time, when vehicle is stationary and shift lever set to 'park', the instrument panel screen displays a 'shift to park' message even with the lever set to the 'park' position. I just didn't see either of those parts being the reason for that much of an effect on the car, and luckily I remembered that gm trucks were having a major issue losing brakes due to the vacuum pump. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000. Car was driving on major highway when the alarm went off and check engine light came on saying reduced engine power. Right now my car is not working at all, the breaks became stiff while driving, constant error saying "reduced engine power". I was hurt. You should also have your technician conduct regular checks on the tranny, so you can detect problems in advance. I got my battery checked out and my battery tested 100% so I know that wasn't the problem. One month later (while trying to get to a wedding), transmission will not engage when shifting into drive. The inspection was not performed, and the vehicle was not repaired. My chevrolet malibu is of the year 2018 with only 30k miles. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS INSTANCE HAS OCCURED. THE POWER WINDOWS WILL STOP WORKING IF I TRY TO ADJUST THEM TO THE PERFECT HEIGHT FOR ME, FORCING ME TO HAVE TO PRESS BUTTONS ON ANOTHER WINDOW IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO GO BACK TO THE WINDOW THAT I WOULD LIKE TO ADJUST. Once I start put foot on gas paddle, rattling noise starts and when foot remove then it stops. My vehicle often doesn't not accelerate as it should. Very scary! Once I turn the car off and on it goes off but off late that no longer works for me. It typically happens on the interstate, but has happened on city streets as well. The 2018 Malibu may not be the reliable vehicle customers expect from Chevrolet. Most the time I park now, the vehicle does not recognize when I shift the vehicle into park. It is concerning that the vehicle is never fully in 'park' mode or that the vehicle is never fully turned off and can cause an accident if unattended. I called about them fixing it and was told that because my warranty expired I would be responsible for the cost of the repair. Spray at least 10 spurts of MAF cleaner onto the sensor and then let it air dry for an hour or until completely dry. It took approx one minute for the accelerator to respond in the meantime I was almost rear-ended by the car behind me. According to the dealership the fuel pump sensor shorted out and no gas could get to the engine. Engine power reduced light came on.
